UKRAINE RESPONDS STRONGLY TO RUSSIA’S DECISION
In response to the announcement that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered a temporary ceasefire along the entire contact line in Ukraine, Ukraine’s Presidential Office Advisor Mihail Podolyak responded with a statement saying “keep your hypocrisy to yourself.”
The first response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine from January 6 to 7 came from Ukraine in response to a call from the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill.
In a social media post, Ukrainian Presidential Office Advisor Mihail Podolyak called on Russia, saying that “first of all, Ukraine is not attacking foreign lands or targeting civilians like Russia does. Ukraine is simply destroying occupiers’ members in its own territory. Second, Russia must withdraw from the occupied areas and then ‘temporary ceasefire’ will be carried out. Keep your hypocrisy to yourself.”
